Protea Hotel by Marriott Oudtshoorn Riempie Estate

I do not usually give this score to a hotel, but I really cannot fault you on anything. The staff is VERY friendly, the rooms are VERY comfortable, clean and well stocked. The rooms are well maintained and nothing is broken. The location is very nice, the gardens are well kept. We enjoyed our stay very much and will definitely return to test your restaurant.

Breakfast was lovely and the staff at reception are very professional. We booked two rooms the 3 bed rondavel was lovely and looked like it was recently renovated. The smaller 2 person room was nice but needed some TLC. The shower floor needs a deep clean but otherwise we were very happy for a 1 night stay on our road trip.

The breakfast was a good standard. I think it was a little expensive in comparison to what I paid on my travels thus far . Kids and adults paid the same price 😕. I think for the price their should have been a greater selection of fruit.

Ideal location being close to visitor attractions. The hotel complex is an attractive mix of rondavels, terraced and semi detached properties. We were upgraded to an end terrace room by the pool that offered plenty of light, a private outdoor patio with bbq facility. The room had a new and unused kitchenette area for those who wish to self cater. Bathroom with a great shower. Nice pool with loungers and towels on request.
